March 2020. Books, articles, ideas.

Hi everyone. When the world goes crazy, we are keep reading, learning, and share our impressions.

Software development

Books

Both books I have read this month was related to the project I have been involved:

  • Programming in Go: Creating Applications for the 21st Century by Mark Summerfield. Easy to read and allowed me to dive into Golang programming quickly.
  • Postgresql manual. I found it very useful to look through a massive amount of functions, operators, commands, and features. It’s impossible to remember everything, but when I need something, I know this exists and how it works under the hood.

Articles

Self development

  • How to Make Yourself Into a Learning Machine Story about learning as a habit. I can confirm, Anki, or probably any other flashcard tool is a great way to learn something new, something you have to remember. As a knowledge base, I use Evernote but feel a lack of bi-directional links there.
